The Friends of the Chase Garden is a group of volunteers dedicated to protecting this Northwest treasure, and whose mission is to continue the artistic vision of Emmott and Ione Chase and to preserve the garden for public enjoyment and education.
You can play an important part in the preservation of the garden. If you love gardens and like the camaraderie of fellow gardeners, then perhaps you would like to join us.
Your membership helps to maintain the garden, document its history, and provide educational programs.

VOLUNTEER IN THE GARDEN
Volunteers enhance the efforts of the garden’s full and part-time staff. Please join us!
Garden Maintenance
Weeding and cleanup are always at the top of the list and we welcome a morning or more of your help with light weeding. Second Saturdays, March through October, 9-12.
Individuals may also join the gardeners with flexible hours Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Plant Propagation
Fourth Saturdays, January through October, 10-12. Participants pot divisions, make cuttings, and plant seeds for our plant sales.
Other Activities
Volunteers needed for booth staffing at garden shows and Puyallup Saturday Market, computer work, mailings, garden documentation, tour docents, and special event help at the garden.
Volunteers receive free plants and an annual fieldtrip opportunity.
