Taught by Yvonne Meziere, whose wonderful photographs are featured on
our website and on note cards sold at Chase Garden. Now Yvonne will be teaching a
three-hour class on
Garden Photography: Getting Better Pictures. She will give information of composition, depth of field, point of view, focus and creative shots. The class will cost

May 10 and 11 - Pierce County Master Gardener Sale
at Western Washington Experiment Station in Puyallup. A selection of plants will be offered for sale at this annual event.
May 10 and 11 - Mothers’ Day Weekend Saturday and Sunday - 10am to 3pm
Bring Mother to the garden in all its spring glory. $5 admission, tea will be served.

$45 donation per person benefits the Chase Garden. Call 206-242-4040 by May 12th to reserve space. Catered by Flying Tomato Italian Eatery. Sale and auction of plants, books, gift items, and more. Enjoy delicious food and beverages in a tranquil garden setting. Stroll the pathways through the woods and meadow and scan the panoramic view to Mount Rainier.
June 8 - Garden Conservancy Open Day
10 am to 4 pm

June 21 - Hypertufa Container Workshop

June 28 - Native Plants and the Design Process at the Chase Garden
10am to Noon.
Class cost: $25. Instructor Anna Thurston will explain and show the
landscape concepts that support a successful garden. Anna is the owner
of Advanced Botanical Resources and chairperson of the South Sound
Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society and she will guide
participants in a design journey through the Chase Garden. You will
learn basic design concepts such as the use of plant color, texture,
balance and contrast and then see how these concepts have been employed

August 16 - Garden Conservancy Open Day

September 20 & 21 - Fall Plant Sale at the Garden
10 am to 3 pm
Again, a wonderful selection of plants from Chase Garden as well as selected vendors will be offered. The focus will be on fall plants during this sale.
November 22 - Deck the Halls
9 am to noon at the Garden
Bring wire cutters, a paddle of wire and a wire coat hanger and you will go home with a wreath for your front door. Greenery provided, bring any extras you want to use for decorations. Dress appropriately for working in the garage.
Class is $10.
